"You Are To Me," written I dunno - 1999 or 1998

A million king's kingdoms
A dragon's treasure
A unicorn's powers
All the jewels in the world
Each of these is precious
Yet not as precious
As you are to me

The shining of the stars
The trickling of a stream
The rustle of wind in leaves
All the joys of nature
Each can be called beautiful
But they aren't as beautiful
As you are to me

The soft sea breeze
The fur of a fawn
The delicate petals of a rose
All the gentle things
Each of these brings a smile
But nothing can make me smile
Like you can

The honey from a bee
Sugarcoated candy
The scent of flowers
And all sweet things
Each of these is delightful
But I'd part with them all
Just for you
Because I love you

I wrote this when I was in 7th grade. I have no idea where it came from or anything like that. Personally, I think it sounds pathetic. But a lot of my poems sound pathetic. I suppose it's realistic since most of a person's emotions are some form of like/crush/love/hate. Gag. Oh sorry, I really could be romantic - I just think stuff like this sounds pathetic. Now if any guy out there wants to write a poem for me, go ahead. I don't mind that. Hehe.
