"Teddy's Nose," written 1998/1999
Crying Endlessly.
Tears down my face.
Balled up tissues on the floor.
A wet pillow on my bed.
The phone rings
I let it.
Talking while crying is no good.
Oops, Tears on this page.
Sobs heard out the door.
All this proves I'm sad.
But my wet teddybear
proves it even more
To explain the title, when I was writing this I kept thinking about a teddybear's nose being wet because of a girl crying into the teddybear. Ginger read it and when she commented on it, she mentioned the wet teddybear's nose. I never once mentioned the teddy's nose in the poem, yet she got exactly the same feeling I had while writing it. Hence the name.
